This policy explains what personal data I collect through amandathomson.com, why I collect it and what rights you have. I keep it short because I collect very little.
Who I am
This website is run by Amanda Thomson, sole trader, based in Kil, Sweden. I’m responsible for the personal data described here.
Questions about your data? Email me at [email protected].
What I collect and why
- When you book an intro call
I collect your name, email address and anything you choose to write in the booking form. I use it to schedule the call, prepare for it and follow up afterward. The legal basis is taking steps at your request before we potentially enter into an agreement. - When you email me
I keep your email and my replies so I can answer you and keep a record of our conversation. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in responding to inquiries. - When you browse the site
With your consent, I use Google Analytics to see how visitors use the site, such as which pages they view and how they found it. This data is collected in a way that doesn’t tell me who you are. If you decline analytics cookies, Google Analytics doesn’t run. The legal basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Who else handles your data
I use a few trusted services to run this site. They process data on my behalf and only for the purposes above:
- HubSpot, for the booking calendar and storing contact details from booked calls
- Google Analytics, for website statistics (only with your consent)
- HostGator, which hosts the website
- Cloudflare, which helps deliver the site securely and protects my email address from spam bots
- Gmail, for email
Some of these companies are based in the United States or may process data there. Where that happens, transfers are covered by the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
I don’t sell your data, and I don’t share it with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long I keep it
Booking and email details: up to two years after our last contact, unless we start working together, in which case I keep what I need for accounting and contract records as Swedish law requires.
Google Analytics data: 14 months
Your rights
You have the right to:
- See what personal data I hold about you
- Correct anything that’s wrong
- Ask me to delete your data
- Ask me to limit how I use it
- Object to how I use it
- Get a copy of your data in a portable format
- Withdraw your consent at any time, without affecting anything done before you withdrew it
To use any of these rights, email me at [email protected]. I’ll reply within one month.
If you think I’ve mishandled your data, you can complain to IMY (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten), the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection, at imy.se.
Cookies
This site uses only the cookies it needs to work, plus Google Analytics cookies if you accept them. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
Client work
If you hire me for a content audit, any data I access in your systems is covered by our data processing agreement, not this policy.
Changes
If I change this policy, I’ll update the date at the top.
